Just felt like coming out of the gates with some Marky Mark for you…it’s been awhile since I blogged so coming back strong! After taking a WERQ Old Skool Hip Hop dance class this morning at ENRGi Fitness, I was taken back to the days I used to choreograph dance music to Paula Abdul and Prince in my basement. It was so fun! As the instructor Allison kept smiling and bringing me back to my fun dance days making me Shoop and Bust A Move, I looked around and saw people smiling and really getting into it.

I felt amazing afterwards and even made friends with Allison and a regular Jenny to keep myself accountable and let’s face it – I love making new friends! One thing is for certain, I raised my vibes by going to that class! And when you raise your vibes, you feel amazing! After starting energy work (I am a Reiki Master now and creating my own customized healing energies), I thought it would be important to share some great tips on how to raise your vibes.

We are energy. Everything is energy. We all sense when someone has “bad vibes” or something feels kind of heavy to us – we are simply picking up on energy of a lower vibration. And when our personal frequency is higher, we actually are healthier in the mind, body and spirit. When your frequency or vibration is higher, you actually elevate the planet and everyone you encounter who is lower. Life gets better – it just does.

Here are some tips on how to raise your frequency:

  • EXERCISE – do something you truly enjoy that is fun – something that brings out your inner child. Make it fun. Dancing for me is fun so I am ultimately back to that happy place.
  • HIGH VIBE FUEL – practice moderation of course but make sure to eat these high vibration foods – fresh organic fruits and vegetables, pure clean water, sea vegetation and raw honey. Other foods that have good vibrational value; maple syrup, cooked vegetables (blanch them to retain optimum vibration), raw nuts and seeds, raw organic dairy products (not pasteurized), free range eggs, wild fish, raw oils, such as; cold pressed extra virgin olive oil among others.
  • LAUGH– lighten the fudge up everybody! We can find the light or humor in many things. Laugh at yourself. Hang out with funny friends, watch a funny movie or go see a comedy show (I am lucky I have a bro who is a comedian). Be silly…I dare you.
  • PLAY– let yourself do fun things – be creative, do something silly with a friend, play sports, take regular breaks and just look at the world as a child.
  • HIGH VIBE ACTION – be mindful of what you say and do – when we write really negative posts on social media and think bad thoughts all day, we are literally putting out transmissions to attract lower vibration situations. Be mindful of what you are putting out there. If you focus on negative things all day, you will attract and create it. Take ownership and positive action.
  • CHOOSE YOUR COMPANY WISELY – Make sure to hang out with people who are mainly positive, encouraging and act in integrity. Everyone has bad days (including me) but if you spend a lot of time with people who have bad habits, are always negative and you are feeling the bad vibes, maybe time to make new friends. Also, choose your company as far as work goes wisely too! If you are unhappy with your job and around negativity, you are missing PASSION.
  • PERSONAL BUBBLE– energy is really real so make sure you are protecting your personal bubble. As an empath, I noticed I would take on everyone’s energy and feel their pain. I would be drained after being in crowds or helping a friend going through a rough time. Now I can still be compassionate, but not take on their stuff. So pretend you are in a white bubble a couple of times a day and clear your personal bubble with your imagination mentally. It really helps!
  • BE LIKE A TREE – this is very simple and only takes five minutes. Just pretend you are a tree…rooting yourself to the earth…imagine that all negative energy can go through your feet and into the earth to get neutralized. Then imagine that you are rooting into Mama Earth and taking white light energy up through your feet. Then imagine you are reaching out with your branches and the top of your head is extending to the sky receiving white cleansing light from the heavens. Imagine you have a white beam of light going through you. You are rooted yet free at the same time!
  • BREATHE DEEPLY – imagine your breath is like an ocean tide and with each inhalation you are breathing in light positive energy and with each exhalation you are releasing anything negative. You can imagine breathing in white cleansing positive light and releasing negative or dirty light. Relax!
