No, I shan’t attend your pity party.

Especially if there is an announcement in the form of a status update on Facebook. I can only imagine what would be included on the hot party playlist if such an epic affair were to take place? Clearly Lesley Gore’s “It’s My Party and I’ll Cry If I Want To” (I think that’s a given), “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?” by Boy George, “Creep” by Radiohead and “One Is The Loneliest Number” by Three Dog Night. I am sure the party would have cartons of ice cream, TV dinners, chocolate with a special appearance by some guy named Jack Daniels. Hmm…the possibilities are endless…maybe even wine coupled with whine if we are lucky…a Kleenex sponsorship and Lifetime marathon.

Do me a favor. Do yourself a favor. Do the world a favor. Please cancel it. Yes, we all have bad days…I do as well. We are only human. But you would never know about my bad days because I don’t broadcast it to everyone. “Breaking news…my world is falling apart…big baby wah.” Then everyone will read it and think I am having a bad day and that will actually contribute to the negative energy of me having a bad day. Thoughts become reality. What we must understand is that our thoughts and words create our reality…and if we are constantly negative we simply manifest those negative situations…and that’s no fun, right? Sounds like a carnival ride called Vicious Cycle and I want no part of that…or carnivals for that matter.

Boy and girls – GRATITUDE is the hot ticket in town…so I shall attend the Gratitude Gala. All the glamorously gracious people will be there! BE thankful for what you DO have because we often take people and situations for granted. Make a list of the blessings in your life, light and candle and sing Kumbaya. Get a good night of sleep and the next day will be brighter. Here is a little ditty from Bobby McFerrin that would be playing at the Gratitude Gala event…and if you don’t become a wee bit happier (whee) when you watch this cheesy yet fabulous 80s music video than you may have no soul. And I mean you just don’t know how to dance…what did you think I meant?
